The Royal Geelong Yacht Club Annual Festival of Sails combines our local history with tradition.
First held in 1844, the event is Australia’s longest running sporting festival. The Festival of Sails consistently attracts the highest calibre of sailing craft and crews along with their family and friends each January.
The Vision
The annual Festival of Sails is the cornerstone of the Australian Sailing Calendar and is an amazing opportunity to showcase the very best of Australia’s entertainment artists for visitors and competitors alike.
The WOW Factor
Consistently attracting over 100,000 visitors to our region each January, the festival kicks off the world class sailing event with a full activation of Geelong’s famous waterfront precinct.
Bay City Event Entertainment annually programs musicians and performers for the festival, which includes a wide demographic of audience members.
Just over 30 acts are required for the three-day festival extravaganza of Australian musical and performance artists over multiple locations on the Geelong Waterfront.
